The new project starts here: a 1976 240D 3.0 — challenging, striking, and with the potential to become a restoration as special as it is demanding.

A new challenge

This new Mercedes is more than a simple continuation: it is a different challenge, on another scale, with other demands and a new opportunity to bring back an important piece of the brand's history.

At first glance, it is clear this will not be an easy task. The car's condition calls for work, patience and the ability to face the problems that always come up in a project of this age. But that is precisely what gives it value, too.

What needs doing

The aim is to restore the car with the same respect for detail, trying to preserve what makes it special and giving it back the presence it has always deserved.

but certainly not an impossible one.

The heart of the 240D 3.0

Beyond the looks and the bodywork, there is also a very important mechanical side. This model stands out for its own character and for the engine that makes it particularly interesting within the W115 family.

The 240D 3.0 holds a special place in Mercedes-Benz history as the first passenger car with a five-cylinder diesel engine. That makes it not only an interesting classic, but also a car of technical and historical importance.

This will therefore be a project worth following closely — both for its difficulty and for how unique the model is.
